I was born in Tucson, Arizona, and moved back to China with my family at the age of 3. I spent a huge chunk of my childhood in China until I was 16. I completed my senior year of high school in Iowa, and then attended Iowa State University to study Medical Illustration. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in art in 2018, I moved to Denver, Colorado, and completed a 3D Animation degree at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design (RMCAD).

Gaming has been a big part of my life since our family pc was unboxed when I was a young child. I was immediately hooked on the free pc games that came with the machine and those games forever shaped my passions, skill sets, and career path. Heroes of Might and Magic III was one of the first games that I played and I was mesmerized by the dungeon & dragon art style and animation that played out on a digital screen. RollerCoaster Tycoon was a game that opened my eyes to the endless possibilities in a simulation. I spent countless hours building digital theme parks as my creativity and imagination exploded at a young age. When it came time to choose a major in college, I knew that I had to explore my artistic skills and learn about the creative process and techniques used to create amazing games like the ones that are sealed in my memories.

As technology in art creation advances, the limits to digital art are almost gone. I choose Rigging as my area of concentration in 3D animation as I have always had an affinity for kinetic, physics, and particle special effects  in CG characters.

Outside of 3D animation and gaming, I enjoy snowboarding, fishing, bowling, and basketball. I am bad with picking favorites but one movie I liked a lot is The Prestige, the plot twist just hits differently. I listen to grunge rock, hip pop, and recently I have been getting into relaxing jazz music.
